Terms of Use & Enrolment Agreement
These terms set out the mutual commitments, rights, and expectations between Moniola Laurels Educational School, our enrolled students, and their parents or legal guardians.
1. Institutional Scope & Acceptance
By accessing the Moniola Laurels website, registering for admission, enrolling a student, or utilizing any of our digital platforms (including the Parent Portal, Result Checker, and Student Dashboard), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our associated school regulations.
Moniola Laurels Educational School operates under the regulatory guidelines of the Ministry of Education (Lagos State, Nigeria) and the Federal Ministry of Education.
2. Admission & Enrolment Commitments
Admission into Moniola Laurels (Early Years, Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary) is granted following the completion of our entrance assessment, evaluation of past academic records, and family interview.
- All documentation provided during admission (birth certificates, immunization history, previous school transcripts) must be genuine and verifiable. Misrepresentation may result in withdrawal of admission.
- Enrolment is confirmed only upon the prompt acceptance of the provisional offer and satisfaction of the initial enrolment fee requirements.
- Students are placed into class arms and senior secondary academic streams (Science, Commercial, Arts) based on age, academic assessments, and career counseling advice.
3. School Fees, Tuition & Payment Policies
Moniola Laurels is committed to transparent financial management:
- Billing Cycle: School fees are billed on a termly basis prior to the commencement of each academic term (First Term, Second Term, and Third Term).
- Deadlines: Tuition must be cleared on or before the resumption date of the applicable term, or in accordance with an approved written installment plan approved by the Bursary.
- Result Access & Clearances: Continuous assessment scores, termly report cards, and external examination registrations (BECE, WAEC, NECO) are subject to full financial clearance.
- Refund Policy: Tuition and admission processing fees are non-refundable once an academic term has commenced and services are delivered.
4. Academic Standards & Promotion Policy
Moniola Laurels maintains rigorous academic expectations:
- Continuous Assessment (CA): Student assessment is computed through CA1 (20%), CA2 (20%), and Term Examination (60%) across 100% total score.
- Promotion Threshold: The promotion of students from one class to the next is strictly based on overall academic average across all subjects offered. A cumulative average of 40% and above is required to pass and qualify for promotion. Students with an overall average below 40% will be required to repeat the class.
- Academic Integrity: Plagiarism, examination malpractice, unauthorized aid, or collusion will result in an immediate zero grade and disciplinary review.
5. Student Conduct & Safe School Policy
Moniola Laurels is a Christ-centered school where discipline, kindness, and moral rectitude are foundational:
- Anti-Bullying: Bullying, intimidation, harassment, or verbal abuse in any form is prohibited.
- Attendance & Punctuality: Daily morning assembly starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Regular and punctual attendance is mandatory.
- Uniform & Neatness: Students must be dressed in the approved, neat school uniform, black school shoes, and prescribed socks as detailed in the student handbook.
- Electronic Devices: Personal mobile phones, smartwatches, and non-educational electronic devices are not permitted during school hours without explicit teacher authorization.
